Murphy Pet Care is owned and operated by Ariane Hirstius and Colin Murphy, and the first kennel free pet hotel in the Baton Rouge area.  We are registered pet sitters with Pet Sitters International, Certified with the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, Pet First Aid Certified, Bonded & Insured, and have experience as an Emergency Veterinary Technician.  We also volunteer as foster homes for Cat Haven and Companion Pet.  We have experience caring for all sorts of pets from the common dogs and cats, and birds and fish, to squirrels and raccoons.

So why did we start at pet care business?  Of course we have a love of pets, a passion one must have in order to offer the best in pet care.  When the two of us were preparing to leave on our honeymoon, after calling all around Baton Rouge, we found that we would be paying outrageous prices in order for our pets to be left alone in kennels.  At this time, we had no other option.  We returned home to find one of our dogs had actually lost all of her hair from being held in such a stressful environment.  We became passionate about having a pet care business that wouldn’t ask to relinquish your entire wallet just for your pet to be stuck in jail while you are on vacation.  And so Murphy Pet Care began!  A place where your pet can feel like family, being able to run, play, and nap to his hearts content at prices that won’t bust the bank!
